Children’s Formation
Our children are not only the future of the church, they are the church. They must be equipped to grow in their faith and to sow goodness in a spiritually hungry world. Our goal for this ministry is to help children and youth find their place in the church and see that their presence is vital here. We look forward to build upon the work that has already been done to welcome young people and families into the life of the church.
Children’s Formation
Sunday 9:15am-11:15am
Educational Wing- 3rd Floor
Nursery
Nursery care will be offered to infants and toddlers under the age of 3. The children will enjoy a beautiful and engaging Nursery with updated toys and softscapes. There will be two adults to care for the children while parents are at Adult Formation and church services.
PreK-6th Grade
The children will meet in the Atrium to experience bible stories and prayer, create art, participate in Children’s Choir, and learn how to put Jesus into their everyday lives. Light breakfast is provided. Children of this age will be brought up to the nave for the Eucharist and the remainder of the service. They may join their family or sit with the class during this time and meet their families immediately after service.
BE BOLD (4-6th Grade)
A brand new program offered to our older Child Formation friends. Kids are invited to a Break-Out session each Sunday for 15-20 minutes during the regular class time. Here they will read stories and do activities geared toward their age group. They will engage in deeper and lively discussions about how God is present in their lives today and how to lean on him for help and guidance. We encourage a “Come as you are, where you are right now” philosophy.
